Delicious & Healthy Vanilla Pancakes With Caramelised Apple!

Our protein vanilla pancakes with caramelised apple taste like such a treat, but are great for your gut too. They're sweet, fluffy and give your gut everything it needs to stay fuelled for the morning. Take your weekday breakfasts or weekend brunches to the next level with this recipe!

Here’s how we prepare it

Ingredients

What you need
1 1/2 cups spelt flour
2 scoops protein (we used vanilla)
1 tbsp baking powder
Pinch salt
3 tbsp melted butter
2 cups milk of choice
Pinch salt

To serve:
1 pot Biotiful Protein Vanilla
Drizzle honey or maple syrup

For the apples:
2 Bramley apples, peeled and chopped
1 tbsp butter
3 tbsp coconut sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Method

How to make
Start by making the apples. Heat the butter in a pan. Add in the apples, sugar and cinnamon, tossing to coat. Heat with a small splash of water, stirring frequently, until the apples are softened and beginning to caramelise. Set aside to cool.

To make the pancakes, stir together dry ingredients. Fold in the wet, then stir to combine. Leave to thicken for five minutes.

Heat some oil or butter in a pan, then add in dollops of the pancake mixture. Heat until bubbles form, then flip and heat until lightly golden on the remaining side. Repeat with the rest of the mixture.
